Description
The Crazy Cart XL was engineered for a different class of rider. Where the standard Crazy Cart uses a 250W motor, the XL steps up to a 500W / 36V motor — double the power output — to deliver the torque and top speed required to carry adult riders through demanding, high-speed drifting sessions. When that motor fails, there is no substitute: only a motor rated to the XL's specification can restore the performance the cart was designed to deliver.
This is the genuine factory replacement motor for the Razor Crazy Cart XL, supplied with the 9-tooth #25 chain sprocket pre-fitted and the four-hole mounting bracket included. The motor is the MY1018E-D model — the factory-specified unit for the XL across all versions — and it bolts directly into the existing motor mounting position with no modifications required.
The most common motor failure symptoms on the Crazy Cart XL are a cart that refuses to move despite a fully charged battery, a motor that runs weakly with no acceleration, or a motor that cuts out under load and requires the cart to cool down before it will operate again. If your cart exhibits any of these symptoms and the battery, fuse, and wiring harness have been confirmed as serviceable, the motor is the correct next replacement
500W / 36V — The Correct Specification for the XL — The Crazy Cart XL's speed controller and wiring harness are calibrated for a 36V, 500W motor. Fitting a lower-rated motor will result in reduced performance and may cause the controller to operate outside its design parameters. This genuine motor is the exact specification the XL was built around.
Double the Power of the Standard Crazy Cart Motor — At 500W, the XL motor produces twice the output of the 250W motor used in the standard Crazy Cart. This power level is what gives the XL its higher top speed and the torque required to drift effectively under adult rider weight. No aftermarket motor rated below 500W will replicate this performance.
9-Tooth Sprocket Pre-Fitted — Factory Gear Ratio Preserved — The 9-tooth motor sprocket is matched to the 55-tooth front wheel sprocket to deliver the correct balance of torque and top speed for the XL's drivetrain. Fitting a sprocket with a different tooth count alters the gear ratio, changing the cart's performance and potentially overloading the motor or controller.
Mounting Bracket Included — No Additional Hardware Required — The four-hole mounting bracket is included with the motor, ensuring the unit bolts directly into the existing motor mounting position on the XL chassis. No sourcing of additional brackets or hardware is required.
100cm Wire Length — Reaches the Controller Without Extension — The 100cm motor wire length is the factory-specified length for the XL's motor-to-controller run. This eliminates the need for extension cables, which introduce additional resistance and potential failure points into the motor circuit.

XL-exclusive motor — not compatible with any other Crazy Cart model: This motor is designed exclusively for the Crazy Cart XL. It is not compatible with the standard Crazy Cart, Crazy Cart DLX, Crazy Cart Shift, or Crazy Cart Shift 2.0, all of which use different motor specifications, voltages, and mounting configurations.Standard Crazy Cart owners: The standard Crazy Cart (V5+) uses the 250W / 24V motor (Part #W25143490030). Fitting the XL's 500W / 36V motor to a standard Crazy Cart requires significant modifications and is not recommended.
