The on/off switch is the most frequently operated component on any electric ride-on — and one of the most commonly replaced. Every single ride begins and ends with it. Over time, the internal contacts wear, the mechanism becomes sticky or unresponsive, and eventually the switch fails entirely, leaving the cart or scooter completely inoperable regardless of how healthy the battery and motor are.
This is the genuine Razor KCD-1 rocker switch, the factory-standard power switch fitted across one of the broadest ranges of Razor products of any single spare part. Built with a polycarbonate body and silver alloy contacts, it is engineered to withstand a rated mechanical life of 50,000 switching operations — far exceeding the lifespan of cheap generic alternatives that use inferior contact materials and fail within months of fitting.
The switch uses quick-connect 1/4"" tab terminals, meaning no soldering is required for installation. Disconnect the old switch, slide the connectors onto the new one, and the repair is complete. The panel-mount design fits directly into the existing aperture on all compatible Razor models without any modification to the chassis
50,000-Cycle Rated Mechanical Life — The silver alloy contacts are rated for 50,000 switching operations, delivering years of reliable service under daily use. Generic switches with brass or plated contacts typically fail in a fraction of that time.
Silver Alloy Contacts for Consistent Electrical Performance — Silver alloy maintains a contact resistance of just 0.020 Ohms maximum, ensuring minimal voltage drop across the switch and consistent power delivery to the motor and electronics on every single use.
Triple Safety Certification — This switch carries UL Listed, CSA Certified, and VDE Approved ratings, meeting the most rigorous international electrical safety standards. These certifications are not carried by generic aftermarket switches.
Quick-Connect Installation — No Soldering Required — The 1/4"" tab terminals allow the existing wiring connectors to be transferred directly to the new switch in minutes, making this a straightforward DIY repair accessible to any skill level.
Genuine Factory Fit — Dimensioned to the exact panel cutout specifications of all compatible Razor models, this switch drops into the existing housing with no modification, drilling, or adapters required

How to identify your version: Locate the barcode sticker on your battery cover or the bottom of the frame. The 7th and 8th digits of the product ID code indicate your version number (e.g., ""34"" = Version 34).Note on MX 350 and Pocket Mod: These models require specific minimum versions (V34+ and V45+ respectively). Earlier versions use a different switch configuration.
